Seconded police officers will secure the summer season in Tsarevo. This was stated by the mayor of the seaside municipality, Marin Kirov, after a meeting with the director of the ODVRM – Burgas, senior commissioner Emil Pavlov and the head of the RU – Tsarevo – chief inspector Vladimir Kolev.
The exact number of police officers will depend on the flow of tourists, and the first police officers will be on the ground from mid-June. They will support the actions of the local police, which are traditionally divided into two main directions – protection of public order and preventive actions to limit criminal encroachments.
Special attention will be paid to road traffic and the prevention of gross violations of the speed regime, risky maneuvers and driving after the use of alcohol and drugs.
Chief Inspector Vladimir Kolev has made a commitment to saturate the region with road safety checks, which will include the new speed cameras detecting several cars at the same time.
Alcohol and drug checks will also be carried out at different times of the day, and in addition to urban areas, areas with small settlements and camping areas will also be covered.
Mayor Marin Kirov expressed his readiness, in the event of the need to purchase extraordinary consumables, for the Municipality of Tsarevo to allocate financial resources.
“Guaranteeing the “Security” service is an important and difficult undertaking”, said the Director of the Security and Safety Service – Burgas Senior Commissioner Emil Pavlov – “I am convinced, however, that in close partnership with the Municipality of Tsarevo, we will be able to provide it at a high level during the upcoming summer season’.
His words were supported by the mayor, who added that among the priorities of the coastal municipality is the upgrading and renovation of the existing video surveillance system, supporting the security and ensuring the safety of both residents and visitors to the Municipality of Tsarevo.
