Thiruvananthapuram CPI raised criticism in the Left Front meeting for not providing welfare pension. The CPI raised the criticism in a meeting held to review the Lok Sabha election campaign. The CPI pointed out that seven months of pension is arrears and this will be a setback in the campaign.
At the same time, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that steps will be taken to pay the pension as soon as possible and there is no need to worry in this regard.
The NCP pointed out that wildlife encroachment is becoming a big issue in the election campaign.
