The Arena deputy, Marcela Villatoro, stated this Wednesday that the president of the party, Carlos Saade, in addition to being a “spoiled man,” has taken on the task of fomenting division between the leadership and the other members of that political institute.
Villatoro thus referred to Saade’s response, via “X”, to the claim that she made to him, this Tuesday, through the same social network, for not having called her and Francisco Lira by phone to congratulate them after being elected in the legislative elections on February 4, despite the fact that they were not the favorite candidates of the president of COENA.
“To me it seems like a spoiled response, it is not from a party president. On the contrary, you should call for unity, not insinuate that I will leave the party, it is a lack of respect.”Villatoro said this Wednesday in a morning interview on a television channel.
The legislator, who will be the only female representative of Arena in the next Legislative Assembly, which will take office on May 1, added that the differences with Saade are not something new, but rather “have been coming for several months,” even before the last internal elections, because he imposed a person in box 1 of the party candidates.
Finally, legislator Villatoro expressed that after 20 years of belonging to Arena she has all the moral solvency to demand that there be a new leadership in accordance with the current reality of the country.
