LPKA Kupang Collaborates with Oesapa Puskesmas for Health Examination of Assisted Children

The Kupang Class I Children’s Special Development Institute (LPKA) in collaboration with the Oesapa Community Health Center (PUSKESMAS) checked the health of thirty-six (36) assisted children located in the Kupang LPKA Hall, Thursday (07/03) at 10.00 WITA until finished.

The activity was opened by the Head of LPKA Class I Kupang, Lukas Laksana Frans, who was accompanied by the Head of the Nursing Section, Dipson S. Didok, Head of the Health Services Sub-Section, Yonathan D. Laifoi and Nursing Section Staff. These health checks are carried out to prevent assisted children from contracting disease.

The Head of LPKA Class I Kupang, had the opportunity to open the activity directly and express his gratitude for the willingness of the Oesapa Community Health Center which was willing to check the health of the children assisted. “We would like to thank you for your willingness from the South Oesapa Health Center Medical Team. This health examination is certainly very helpful for us in early detection of children who are stricken with disease, so that they can be treated immediately. We also hope that collaboration like this can continue and of course it will have a positive impact on LPKA Kupang and the Oesapa Community Health Center,” he stressed.

Head of the Kupang Community Health Center, represented by Dr. Echi stated that this activity was routinely carried out in order to prevent the spread and detect infectious diseases such as Tubercolosis (TBC). “Thank you, Head of LPKA Kupang and the staff who have welcomed us. This activity is a form of follow-up to the collaboration between LPKA Class I Kupang and the Kupang City Health Service. Health outreach and screening activities by Puskesamas Oesapa are carried out at least once a year. Activities “This is routinely carried out to avoid wider spread and early detection of infectious diseases as well as to provide understanding for target children so they can understand more about infectious diseases such as TB,” he said.

On this occasion, the target children were socialized about infectious diseases such as Tuberculosis by Dr. Deddy, and continued with a health examination including checking blood pressure, measuring height and weight, as well as follow-up treatment for children who had infectious diseases.
