The Spice Girls will reunite later this year. Singer Mel B revealed this on Thursday in the British talk show Loose Women. This year marks thirty years since the British girl group was founded.
“We’re definitely going to do something,” Mel B replies when asked about a possible Spice Girls reunion. “I’m probably going to get yelled at for this, but I said it. Please. We’re going to announce it sometime later this year. Now I’m going to get in trouble…”
The girl group was founded in 1994 and remained intact until 2001. In addition to Mel B, the formation consisted of Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Mel C.
There have been more Spice Girls reunions in recent years. The group reunited for a tour in 2007 and 2019. Beckham was missing from the last concert series. In between, the group was on stage in London in 2012 during the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games.
