Negotiations on rotation begin on Saturday, said Venetsia Angova from PP-DB, btv broadcasts. She specified that they sent an invitation to GERB to start negotiations already on Friday, but in the end the two parties chose the date of March 9.
Angova also commented on the actions of GERB not to choose the leaders to participate in the negotiations and defined them as an attempt to delay.

“I respect the ladies who have been aired on the negotiating team, but on our side the leaders will stand,” she said.
The representatives from GERB will be Maria Gabriel, Temenuzka Petkova, Denitsa Sacheva and Raya Nazaryan.
Venetia Angova also said that the start of the talks is a good sign and will help to get out of the “phase of political hysteria and enter the phase of effective negotiations”.

She pointed to Nikolai Denkov as an example of a leader of the political group and compared him to Borisov, whom she does not think has the necessary political culture to maintain a good tone during the negotiations, as well as to coordinate the decisions taken by the other members of GERB with him.
“Borisov is used to the ministers being like a button on the mobile phone. Academician Denkov knows how to make decisions, but also to coordinate them with his party,” she said regarding Borisov’s criticism that the resigned prime minister was “docile”.

She also explained PP-DB’s proposal to achieve independence from commission regulators through a three-step plan. The first step is the observance of a “sanitary minimum”, which means checking whether the candidates are indeed politically independent. The second is the requirement for professionalism in relation to the work and finally there are the formal steps in the SC.
“We put the reforms before the positions, and they put the positions before the reforms,” Angova added, comparing the memorandum proposed by PP-DB with the coalition agreement of GERB.
