Relatives and friends of a young man residing in the municipality of San Miguel del Padrón, in the province of Havana, took to social networks to report that he was stabbed to death.
The victim was identified as Héctor Andrés Viltres Anaya, known to his friends as “Blakity”, 31 years old, who was murdered in the Veracruz park for reasons that are still unknown.
Several friends of the young man dedicated farewell words to him on social networks, describing him as a good person who was loved by many of his neighbors.
“How sad you have left us, Héctor Andrés Viltres Anaya, my husband and I are devastated by your departure! We will always remember you like this, fun and making us laugh with your ideas,” wrote user Arlett Rubio, who shared a video of the young man having fun with friends at a party.
Others were outraged by the situation on the Island, demanding justice for the young man’s murder.
“No one has the right to take your life for the sole reason of wanting to show that he is handsome… You couldn’t even defend yourself, you were so healthy… You don’t know the sadness that invaded me when I heard that you are no longer with us,” wrote another Internet user.
At the moment, further details of the case are unknown, such as the identity of the person responsible for this crime or the reasons why he took the young man’s life.
The death of the young man adds to the wave of murders that have been reported on social networks throughout the Island in recent months. One of the last to be shared was the case of a young man who was murdered last week in Ciego de Ávila.
According to the information shared on that occasion, the victim was identified as Yosmany Mayeta Labrada, only 23 years old. According to family and friends, the young man was murdered during a violent robbery to seize his motorcycle.
Mayeta initially managed to survive the incident, but succumbed to the severity of his injuries after neighbors alerted his father.
