Anders Borg is nominated as chairman of LKAB

Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson has today decided to nominate Anders Borg as chairman of the board of LKAB. Carina Andersson and Alrik Danielson are also proposed as new members of the board.

Ahead of LKAB’s annual general meeting on April 25, the following have been nominated for new elections:

  • Anders Borg, chairman of the board
  • Carina Andersson, board member
  • Alrik Danielson, board member

– The ambition with the nominations is to strengthen the board with experience of the type of basic industry that LKAB runs. Anders Borg, Carina Andersson and Alrik Danielson match the competence and experience we were looking for very well, says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson.

Anders Borg was Sweden’s finance minister from 2006-2014 and has previously been an advisor, board member and chairman of the board for a number of companies. He has extensive experience from work in the banking sector and has been an active member of the World Economic Forum. Anders Borg has been a member of LKAB since 2023 and has broad board experience from other assignments.

Carina Andersson is a mining engineer and has solid board experience and previously held a senior position at Sandvik AB, before that she was CEO of Ramnäs Bruk AB and Scana Ramnäs AB.

Alrik Danielson has far-reaching industrial competence, most recently from his role as CEO of SKF and before that from the same position at Höganäs AB.

Gunilla Saltin and Göran Persson have announced that they are not available for re-election to the board.
