Last May, Hillary Clinton became the first top Democrat to publicly raise concerns about Joe Biden’s advanced age.
“His age is an issue and people have every right to consider it,” Clinton said when asked on stage during an event in Washington.
Hillary Clinton: “Joe Biden is old”
During Tuesday, former first lady and ex-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was a guest on “Mornings with Zerlina” on SiriusXM, and then the tone was partly different.
During the interview, she recounted a conversation where the other person highlighted Joe Biden’s respectable age.
– I said: You know what, Joe Biden is old. Let’s accept reality and move on. Joe Biden is old. So we have a contest between a candidate who is old but has done an effective job and does not threaten our democracy. Then we have a candidate who is old, can hardly make himself understood when he speaks, is dangerous and threatens our democracy, said Hillary Clinton, who is a year younger than Donald Trump.
Joe Biden has recently confused and mixed up world leaders from different countries and eras and clips have been published of him losing his balance and stumbling.
Clinton: Donald Trump confuses Biden and Obama
Special prosecutor Robert Hur called him a “sympathetic, benevolent, elderly man with a bad memory” when he dropped the investigation into how Biden kept classified documents at his Delaware home.
However, Hillary Clinton refrained from commenting on Joe Biden’s possible memory problems.
Instead, she highlighted Donald Trump again.
– I mean, I think there is a lot of that. But if you’re worried about that, listen to Donald Trump babbling incoherently and can’t even remember who he’s running against. He constantly talks about Barack Obama being his opponent. Last time I checked, that’s not how it is, Hillary Clinton said.
Donald Trump has claimed that the false statements surrounding Barack Obama are “deliberate”, but it is unclear what the purpose would be in that case.
