Jakarta, tvOnenews.com – Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto asked the public to wait for the results of the General Election Commission (KPU) calculations related to the surge in votes for the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI).
“We’ll see the results from the KPU later,” said Hadi when visiting the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) office, Jakarta, Tuesday (5/3/2024).
Hadi was also reluctant to respond to allegations of fraud in inflating PSI votes because the numbers had soared suddenly.
“Well, that has to be proven. It’s still an assumption,” he said.
Previously, member of the Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) Idham Holik emphasized that there was no inflation in the number of PSI votes
“There was no vote inflation,” said Idham in Jakarta, Monday (4/3).
Idham explained that what was inaccurate was optical character recognition (OCR) or technology that extracts text from images when reading photos of the C1-Plano Model Form or records of the 2024 Election vote counting results.
