Trump and Biden won “Super Tuesday”

Trump and Biden won “Super Tuesday” in the parties The current and former presidents of the United States – Joe Biden Donald Trump achieved victories in the primaries on “Super Tuesday”. Thus, in a number of states, they paved the way for a new clash between them in the upcoming elections. The information is from Reuters, quoted by BTA.

Trump won the Republican vote in more than a dozen states – including California and Texas – and fended off a challenge from former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who was his only remaining challenger for the Republican nomination. After today’s results, Haley no longer has a real chance to win the nomination, according to Reuters.

After sweeping 15 states on Super Tuesday, Trump has nearly secured his third consecutive presidential nomination despite facing multiple criminal charges.

Trump and Biden turned their attention to each other as the results became clear.

In his victory speech in Mar a Lago, Florida, Trump attacked Biden’s immigration policies and called him the “worst president” in history. “November 5th will go down in history as the most important day in the history of our country,” Trump said.

In his statement, Biden again presented Trump as a threat to American democracy. “Tonight’s results leave the American people with a clear choice: Will we continue to move forward, or will we allow Donald Trump to drag us back into the chaos, division and darkness that marked his tenure,” the US president said.

Biden was expected to easily win the Democratic primary, although activists opposed to his strong support for Israel urged Muslim Americans and progressives to cast protest votes by voting “nobody” in Minnesota, as they did previously in Michigan.

Biden is projected to win Minnesota, but the share of “nobody” ballots has reached 20.4 percent with about half of the expected votes counted. The president won 14 other states, including Iowa’s mail-in vote, which ended yesterday. He also suffered one defeat – in the US territory of American Samoa, where entrepreneur Jason Palmer won by 51 votes to 40 for Biden.
