Kylian Mbapp Continues to Make History in the Champions League
Paris Saint-Germain’s star forward, Kylian Mbapp, has solidified his position as the 16th highest goal scorer in the history of the Champions League after his impressive performance against Real Sociedad. With a total of 46 goals to his name, the 25-year-old is steadily closing in on the top goal scorers in the knockout stages of the competition.
Following his brace against Real Sociedad, Mbapp has now scored 18 goals after the group stages, putting him on par with legendary players such as Ral and Andriy Shevchenko. Notably, he has surpassed the goal tallies of Arjen Robben and Filippo Inzaghi, who have 16 goals each in the Champions League. Mbapp now finds himself in the company of only five players who have outperformed him in the competition: Cristiano Ronaldo (67), Lionel Messi (49), Karim Benzema (34), Robert Lewandowski (30), and Thomas Mller (27). It’s clear that Mbapp has earned his place among the elite goal scorers in the history of the Champions League.
As Mbapp continues to etch his name in the record books, his remarkable achievements serve as a testament to his exceptional talent and unwavering determination on the football pitch. With each goal, he cements his status as one of the most prolific and influential players in the world of football.
