General Election Commissions (KPU) no longer displays graphs of vote acquisition data for the Presidential and Legislative Elections. The KPU will only display authentic evidence or data from the TPS.
Seen by detikcom, as of 23.40 WIB, Tuesday (5/3/2024), the election2024.kpu.go.id site no longer displays graphs of vote acquisition data for the Presidential and Legislative Elections. On the website there are only photos of the Plano model C form. Previously, the site on the KPU website displayed graphs of data on the percentage of votes cast in the 2024 Presidential Election and Legislative Election.
Head of the Indonesian KPU’s Technical Division, Idham Holik, said that his party has currently established a policy to display only plano model c forms in Sirekap. Idham said that with this policy, the KPU would no longer display numerical data on provisional vote results.
“Now the KPU’s policy is to only display authentic evidence of election participants’ vote acquisition,” said Idham to journalists, Tuesday (5/3/2024).
Idham said that Sirekap’s main function is to publish photos and plano model C forms. Idham assesses that so far the public has rarely seen photos of the model C form results.
In fact, he said, the plano model c form is authentic evidence written by KPPS at each TPS. Where, the writing of the model c form results is witnessed by witnesses from the candidate pairs and political parties, and supervised by the Supervisory Committee.
“When the Sirekap technology reading results are not or less accurate and have not had time to be accurate by the uploader (KPPS) and the Regency/City KPU Sirekap operator, it will become a polemic in the public space that will give rise to prejudice,” he said.
Idham emphasized that currently, the KPU will only display photos of the plano model c form. This policy, he said, was made because currently the recapitulation has been completed at the PPK and district/city KPU.
“In carrying out the stages of holding the election, the KPU makes decisions or policies independently, including a policy that only displays photos of the Plano Results Model C form,” he explained.
“Sirekap focuses on displaying photos of the model c form results only, without displaying the numerical data of the results of the tabulation while the vote acquisition of election participants is the result of reading photos of the model c form plano results,” added Idham.
