Al-Marsad newspaper: An Egyptian court ruled that a woman be divorced from her husband after she filed for divorce, after she discovered that he had a supernatural power that made her unable to live with him.
The wife said before the court that she found her husband breaking anything related to glass in order to eat it, and she asked him to stop doing that…but he said, “I cannot.”
Eat cups of nish
She added: “After months of marriage, I found my husband taking a set of cups out of the niche, breaking it, and eating the glass. I was shocked and called his mother and siblings and asked them to come immediately. When they came, they looked at each other and I told them, ‘Catch your son eating the glass. We must do an x-ray on his stomach,’ and his mother replied.” She said: “He is eating it when he is 16 years old.” I was astonished by their calmness…and I insisted on going to the doctor and x-rays were done on his abdomen. She continued: “I loved my husband and had two children with him: a son (two years old) and a daughter (4 years old). The two of them began to fear standing next to their father when they found him breaking the glass, and they became panicked and tense,” according to the “Al-Masry Al-Youm” website.
I love glass like chips
The husband appeared when he was summoned to court and stood before two psychological and social experts. He said: “I have not harmed my wife in any way since our marriage, but I love eating glass just like a person who loves chips.” However, the wife insisted on the divorce, saying: “I eat all the cups, cups, and glass sets in The house, and after that happened, I bought plastic cups. He got angry and told me, “You are supposed to bring me the thing I love.”
The court ruled to accept the divorce case and to divorce the woman irrevocably.
