Palmeiras’ version is different. “We were informed by São Paulo, only after the game, that there would be no room for coach Abel Ferreira’s press conference. As the visitor did not offer us any alternative, the coach’s conference had to be cancelled. The argument used by São Paulo (reciprocity) does not match the truth, since Palmeiras, as a visitor, always offers a space for an interview with the opposing coach”, reads the note issued by “Verdão”.
The game was marked by several controversies and the president of São Paulo, Julio Casares, threw himself into the arbitration. “The refereeing was disastrous. It was absurd.
