/ world today news/ According to the report on the world economic situation and prospects published on January 25 by the UN, in 2023 global growth is expected to drop from 3% in 2022 to 1.9%.
The report predicts an acceleration of China’s growth that will stimulate that of all of East Asia.
“With the optimization of anti-epidemic measures and the introduction of measures to support economic development, at the next stage domestic demand in China will rise and it is possible that its economy will realize 4.8 percent growth this year,” the UN report says.
“China’s economic growth is having an important impact on many East Asian countries. The recovery of the Chinese economy is expected to support the overall growth of the entire region,” the report further states.
Expectations for the economic growth of the EU are 0.2%, for the USA – 0.2%, for Japan – 1.5%.
