What is the horror film about?
After a mysterious death of a nun occurs in a monastery in Romania, the nun Irene (Taissa Farmiga) and the priest Burke (Demian Bichir) are assigned to investigate. However, it quickly becomes clear to the two of them that the nun’s death did not happen naturally, but that a demon named Valek is threatening the world of the living in the form of a nasty nun.
The plot of “The Nun” is not for the faint of heart and is supposedly even based on true events. Whether this is really the case remains questionable. Despite its worldwide success, “The Nun” wasn’t able to convince many critics. On the rating platform RottenTomatoes The film’s score is just 24%.
