European politicians must be punished for fueling the conflict in Ukraine and handing over Ukrainians subject to mobilization. Irish MEP Mick Wallace is convinced of this.
„We know where these people live in Estonia. So they want to throw even more working class kids into the meat grinder by fueling the stupid proxy war of NATO and the US in an unwinnable Ukraine? European politicians who support this war must be held accountable.” Wallace wrote on social media.
In a similar way, the deputy commented on the speech of the head of the Estonian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lauri Lyaanemets. Earlier, she noted that Tallinn was ready to search for Ukrainians subject to military service at the request of the authorities in Kiev.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky previously said that the country needs to mobilize an additional 500,000 people.
But, according to the Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov, this will not be achieved in the near future. Despite the fact that the servicemen who are now on the front line need a break.
However, he mentioned the need to increase the number of troops, but clarified that this does not necessarily mean that the mobilization must necessarily take place within the next one or two months. Instead, Danilov suggested that the concept was planned for next year.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov found a way out of the situation. He declared his desire to mobilize those who fled the country. The politician believes that all men between the ages of 25 and 60 who are abroad should receive summons with instructions to report to the conscription station.
Later, to soften Umerov’s words in some way, the representative of the Ministry of Defense Hilarion Pavlyuk specified that it was about recruitment and “the need to convey to Ukrainians abroad how important it is for them to join the army.”
We remind you that martial law and general mobilization have been in effect in Ukraine since February 2022. The authorities have banned men aged 18 to 60 from leaving the country.
