The subject looted parts of the station on Carrera 15 with Avenida Quebrada seca, managing to dismantle parts of the wiring and take some sheets; Furthermore, in the middle of the criminal act he damaged the doors of the station, according to local media.

However, apparently, for the alleged criminal, the illegal act caused him extreme fatigue, so, instead of fleeing and looking for a hiding place from the authorities, he fell asleep at the scene where he committed the crime.

Very early, the next day, uniformed Bucaramanga Police responded to the call from the community that a subject was sleeping on the roof of the Quebradaseca station; In fact, it was the unfortunate subject who found no better place to sleep than on the roof of the same station that he had robbed the previous night (February 28).

Given the unusual event, from the X account (formerly Twitter) of Metrolínea, they expressed their concern about the frequency in which this type of criminal acts are committed against the integrated transportation system:

“Every day we are more amazed at how Metrolínea was delivered to us. This individual, after entering the Quebradaseca Station, damaging doors, wiring and removing sheets, fell asleep with the loot on the ceiling. All stations abandoned and vandalized!”, they indicated from the aforementioned account.

The problems with the attacks, damages and theft against the structures of the Metrolínea stations have generated indignation in the community, because the day after the particular case of theft; Another case was reported, on that occasion it occurred at the La Rosita station.

The captured subject was identified with the alias ‘Jose’, 21 years old, who removed several metal elements from the aforementioned station.

While on February 16, uniformed Police officers managed to capture a 35-year-old subject, who was caught with stolen furniture, also from the La Rosita station.

The authorities discovered that the man was transporting a considerable amount of roof sheets, railings and parts of the floor of the aforementioned station, located in the center of the capital of Santander.

“The National Police in development of the “100-day intervention plan” managed to capture a man known by the alias: “Jhon”, 35 years old, for the crimes of theft and damage to other people’s property in Bucaramanga. In the patrols that are being carried out rigorously with our uniformed officers in the sector of the La Rosita mass transportation station and thanks to the timely information from the community that stated that the captured person was stealing furniture from the station, the patrols in an effective reaction surprised to a person who was stealing a door and two handrails, among other things,” said Police Major Milton Pachón, in statements reported by Blu Radio.

Due to these events, the alleged criminal was left at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, in which he will be presented before a guarantee control judge to advance his judicial process.
