Representative Strida Geagea indicated today, Saturday, after the mass commemorating the bombing of the Our Lady of Deliverance Church, that “I assure the families of the martyrs that those who committed the massacre will receive their punishment, and we know who committed it because the truth is shining like the sun.”
She added, “For those who remain of the Syrian security regime, ‘You have fled and the forces have remained,’ because nothing is true except what is true.”
Geagea continued, “A day will come when the criminals responsible for the bombing of Our Lady of Deliverance Church will be punished.”
She continued, “I salute the spirit of Patriarch Sfeir, who told me that whoever carries the Christian torch in the East will not blow up a church.”
She added: “We were destined to fight for the freedom that represents our cause in this East, which created Lebanon as an entity, for which we took up arms and accepted imprisonment and persecution so as not to abandon it, and for which the martyrs of the Cedar Revolution fell.”
Geagea concluded, “After the crucifixion always comes the resurrection. Do not despair or surrender. Rather, persevere no matter how much time passes. Lebanon’s resurrection will come, and we will remain with the church, the shepherd patriarch, and the people loyal to our freedom and faith.”
