The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry made two statements hostile to the Mitsotakis government Maria Zakharova answering questions from journalist Thanasis Avgerinou.
In the first answer he says that the weapons that the Mitsotakis government sends to Ukraine they threaten the civilian population, therefore also the Greek diaspora because bombs do not look at passports and the Greek government will be held accountable to its people for this.
“These guns and shells don’t ask for nationality and they don’t ask you to show ID. They just kill people and that’s it. Of all nationalities. This concerns Donbass, Azov and other regions, where historically a large Greek community resides. The Greek leadership is responsible for this, which will need to be accountable to its people,” said Maria Zakharova.
Asked if there have been any consultations between the Greek and Russian governments on whether or not to transfer to Ukraine the S-300 anti-aircraft missiles stationed in Crete, she said that Moscow records without exception “all hostile actions, whether it is Greece, or for any other country and we give them a clear answer, political, diplomatic, military”.
He also said that Moscow “several times warned” Athens “about any violation of the Greek-Russian intergovernmental agreement” of 1995, “where there are strict obligations not to hand over to third countries without mutual written agreement equipment and military means, acquired in the context of of bilateral military cooperation”.

Reply to the US Secretary of Defense
The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the statements of the US Defense Minister as absolutely absurd. Lloyd Austinthat in case of defeat of Ukraine, war will break out between NATO and Russia,
As the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in her post on Telegram: “Is this a direct threat to Russia or an attempt to find an excuse for Zelensky? Both are absurd. Instead, now everyone can see who the aggressor is—Washington.”
Zakharova also commented on reports in Russian media that German military officers were discussing a planned attack on Crimea. The news is said to have come from a leaked recording of a conversation between Bundeswehr officials and has caused a sensation in Russia.
As Zakharova reported: “I wonder what Analena Burbok has to say about this? The German media have a good reason to demonstrate their independence and ask her relevant questions. However, our media have urgent communications with the German embassy in Moscow.” As he added, Moscow will immediately request an official explanation from Berlin on the matter.
