The collision happened at 22.41 last Wednesday evening and SOS was alerted a minute later. The train was heading south towards Hallsberg.
The surveillance video confirms that the sound and light signals worked and that the three young people who died did not cross the track.
The speed limit at the site is 80 kilometers per hour and according to the police, the train has kept to the prevailing limit.
The police have interviewed the train driver about the accident. No one is currently suspected of a crime.
The Norwegian Accident Commission may conduct its own investigation into conditions at the scene of the accident. A decision on this will be made during the day.
Correction: In an earlier version it was stated that the speed limit past Södra station in Örebro is 70 km/h. This is according to incorrect information from the Swedish Transport Administration. The article has been corrected to 80 km/h, which is correct.
