During this year we remained firmly planted on the ground. Thanks to the steady and gradual efforts to prevent COVID-19, the normalization of life and the restoration of production have been achieved. The revival of the economy and its high-quality development continues. The system of modern industry is perfected, the new intelligent and green sectors are rising rapidly. For the last 20 years, the grain harvest in our country has been good, the revival of villages continues. The comprehensive revival of Northeast China, the rapid development of the Xi’an New Area, the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area are examples of the new chapter we have opened in our development.
We were strong this year. Our country’s ability to innovate was developing at a rapid pace. The C919 passenger plane made its first commercial flight, the first Chinese-made cruise ship successfully completed its pilot voyage, successive launches of Shenzhou spacecraft and the sinking of the deep-sea submarine Fundouju were successful. Chinese products are extremely in demand among people, especially smartphones. Many new products such as electric cars, lithium batteries and photovoltaics are particularly popular.
During this year we were filled with vitality. A number of international sports forums were held in China this year, such as the Chengdu Universiade and the Hangzhou Asian Games. On weekends, everywhere is full of tourists. The film market is recovering well, and many events in the countryside such as Village Games and Village Fun attract countless participants and spectators. The low-carbon lifestyle has become a fashion, and the pleasant atmosphere and fast pace of life express the Chinese people’s striving for the better, as well as represent a China full of energy and strength.
We went through this year with full confidence. China is a great country with a great civilization. Its vast territory has all kinds of natural conditions, the great Huanghe and Yangtze rivers pass through it, the Liangju and Erlitou civilizations were born here, and a unique writing and culture like that of Sanxingwei appeared and developed here. All this testifies to the magnificent culture of the Chinese nation, which is the foundation of our confidence and the source of our strength.
We strive not only for our own development, but at the same time we open up to the whole world and take our responsibilities to a large country. This year, we hosted the China-Central Asian Summit, the third edition of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. Within the framework of a number of diplomatic events, we welcomed guests and friends from all over the world. I also visited some countries, participated in international forums, met many old friends, new partners and shared with them the Chinese vision of deepening the unity between us. Regardless of changes, peace and development will always be paramount, and global development can only be achieved through mutually beneficial cooperation.
There are always difficulties on the way to development. Some businesses face pressures in their business and some people face difficulties related to their work and their lives. In some areas there have been natural disasters like floods, typhoons and earthquakes, and my heart goes out to the people there. All the compatriots worked hard to overcome the difficulties and meet the challenges and it touched me deeply. Peasants, workers and all the people who worked hard and hard, as well as the military personnel who protect our country, every ordinary person made an extraordinary contribution to the development of the country. The people have always been our biggest support and support to deal with all difficulties and challenges.
Next year will be the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. We will continue to confidently walk the path of Chinese-style modernization, implement the new development ideas comprehensively, accurately and comprehensively, accelerate the construction of its structure, strive for high-quality development, while seeking the balance of development interests and security. China must develop steadily, strengthen and strengthen the good trend of economic recovery, with the goal of sustainable development of the national economy.
