Rebecca Ferguson’s testimony about an unsympathetic colleague has created great engagement. The question is who is to blame?

Dune: Part Two-current star Rebecca Ferguson recently guested on the podcast Reign with Josh Smith – and now the internet is all of a sudden committed to solving a great mystery. The Hollywood mystery if you will.
In the interview, Rebecca talks about an occasion when she worked with an actor she describes as an insecure and angry person, who had problems getting a scene done. Suddenly, this person starts yelling at Ferguson to the point where she starts crying and finally leaves the set. She goes on to say that because the other actor had a higher status, there was no safety net – no one spoke up.
The next day, she returned to the set and scolded her co-star, which ultimately led to her forcing the other actor to turn his back for the entire scene.
Since no names were mentioned, of course the internet has now tried to root out who the guilty ace might be. Ferguson, with blockbusters like Dune and several Mission Impossible-films on the CV, have worked with many superstars over the years, so the selection is quite large.
So who could it be? The only ones explicitly denied by Ferguson are Hugh Jackman and Tom Cruise.
One of the speculations stirred for a while Hercules-fellow Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, but it feels much less likely after his reaction to X.
Hate seeing this but love seeing her stand up to bullshit. Rebecca was my guardian angel sent from heaven on our set. I love that woman. I’d like to find out who did this.

So which candidates remain? Quite many. Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Justin Theroux, Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant, Ewan McGregor, Chris Hemsworth, Matthew Goode, Sven-Bertil Taube… No Sven-Bertil may not feel very believable, but a positive side effect of the boring story is that one is reminded of the Swedish star’s fine filmography. Rebecca Ferguson has really made very good films.
The funniest theory circulating is that the actor who yelled at her during filming was none other than Jacob Tremblay from Doctor Sleep. Watch the scene below (but major trigger warning issued, it is really unpleasant).
