Has expressed his support on social media
Earlier this week, “Dune: Part Two” actor Rebecca Ferguson came out that she was treated really badly by a co-star during a previous filming. Now one of the stars she worked with has come out on X to defend her.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson goes out and defends Rebecca Ferguson after she recounted how during a previous film shoot she had to openly withstand insults from another well-known actor.
She says that she received no support whatsoever from the film crew and that the other actor shouted at her, which led to her having enough and telling the person to “go to hell”. Filmtopp has reported on this before.
The Rock wants to know who mistreated Rebecca Ferguson
It was in the podcast Reign with Josh Smith as Rebecca Ferguson told that the incident took place sometime in the last 10–12 years, but not during which shoot or with whom. The Rock and Ferguson have previously acted together in the film Hercules (2014), which automatically made him suspect as the unlikable co-star. In response to her statement, however, he has elaborated on X (f.d. Twitter) and expressed their support.
– I hate to see this but love to see her stand up for herself. Rebecca was my guardian angel from above during our shoot. I love that woman. Would love to find out who did this, writes Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on X.
By defending Ferguson hits Johnson thus killing two birds with one stone, by supporting her while eliminating any possible speculation directed at him. A selection of other actors who Rebecca Ferguson worked together with during his career is Hugh Grant, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ryan Reynolds, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt.
Rebecca Ferguson is currently in the movie “Dune: Part Two” but also with the TV series “Silo” which can be streamed here.
