The young people attending the Youth Festival in Russia will denounce the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba, a directive from the Union of Young Communists (UJC) endorsed this Thursday.
The Cuban youth will also ratify there their support for the Palestinian cause and the immediate cessation of the genocide in Gaza, indicated the head of the International Relations department of the UJC, Mirthia Julia Brossard.
The Cuban communist leader thanked the organizers of the event and mainly the Russian Federal Youth Agency for the support for the participation of the 147 Cubans, from all social sectors who will participate in the youth event in Sochi, from tomorrow until December 7. next March.
“This constitutes a sign of the brotherhood between both nations and Russia’s support for the Caribbean nation in the circumstances imposed by the tightening of the blockade on Cuba,” said the youth leader.
The event program includes exchange plenaries on topics such as multipolarity, youth entrepreneurship and the links between Russia and Latin America, in addition to educational, cultural and sports actions.
Brossard reported that the agenda of Cuban youth will also promote dialogue and interaction with youth organizations from sister nations in Africa and the Latin American region and also the signing of collaboration agreements with countries such as Belarus and others on issues of interest to this segment. population.
Considered by the organizers as the most important conclave of its kind worldwide, the Youth Festival will bring together around 20 thousand young people from more than 180 countries in America, the Middle East, Africa, Eurasia, Asia and Oceania, and Europe.
According to Russian media, leaders of youth non-governmental organizations, diplomats, scientists, experts in international relations, representatives of creative industries, political parties, journalists, businessmen and technology specialists, environmentalists, artists, students and volunteers will attend.
