Bengaluru: An engineering student killed his mother’s brother’s wife in anger over not paying him to go to Goa with his friends. Jaswant Reddy (20), a third-year engineering student in Vijayawada, Andhra, killed Sukanya (40), a resident of Electronic City. Sukanya has been missing since February 12.

A few days later, the body was found burnt near Bennarghat. The information about the murder came out during the investigation conducted by the Electronic City Police. Jaswant came to Sukanya’s house from Vijayawada on 12th to ask for money for the trip to Goa. When he refused to pay, he suffocated and killed him to steal the necklace. He was then taken to a deserted area in Bennarghatte and was doused with petrol and set on fire.
