10. Singing in the rain
The best musical of all time, that’s how this romantic comedy is sometimes called. To this day, the theatrical version is also popular. Hong Kong 1960s and two couples. Neighbors connect the loneliness of the evenings they spend without their partners. They spend time on the road, and in addition, suspicions of their infidelity appear. “… they created an intense sense of intimacy, while flawless performances vibrate with sexual tension. That’s cinematography,” writes editor Anna Smith, who calls the romantic drama a classic.
7. Seven Samurai
“The most famous Japanese film of all time, the forerunner of the film The brave seven,” is written about Seven Samurai already ČSFD. That it is a spectacle worth watching is also confirmed by a London magazine, which claims about the film that it will be the easiest 207 minutes you have ever sat through a movie in the cinema.
