This 42-year-old Franco-Moroccan faces up to five years in prison and a fine of 375,000 euros. An English teacher on long leave, she had created this online store with her partner on which she had been selling cosmetic products “having the character of medicine” since 2019. Sales represented nearly 400,000 euros in cumulative turnover between 2020 and 2022, with more than a hundred customers. Nothing was declared to the tax authorities.
“Illegal injection activity”
The investigations began in 2021 after a beautician’s report concerning products sold by Bizouka that could be reserved for the medical profession or prohibited for sale. Investigators identified products based on botulinum toxin (botox), hyaluronic acid injecting “pens”, lidocaine anesthetic creams and even fat-burning substances. The forty-year-old would also have “engaged in an illegal activity of injecting hyaluronic acid and microneedlings (microperforations for aesthetic purposes) on her relatives and clients”, even though she had “no medical training or professional training” for this. ‘beautician’, as our colleagues explain.

Also prosecuted, the manager’s spouse, a 43-year-old Senegalese, allegedly served as a “nominee” and recipient of imports at their home in the suburbs of Bordeaux, according to the prosecution.
