The liberationist deputy, Dinorah Barquero, raised her voice in the municipal affairs commission, this Wednesday, in the face of opposition from the government for the donation of land in San Rafael de Alajuela where they sought to build the southern health area, Project #23,155 presented by the legislator.

Six years ago, the Ministry of Justice and Peace donated land to the Municipality of Alajuela for the construction of a sports center, however, after forming a tripartite relationship between the Costa Rican Social Security Fund, the Municipality of Alajuela and the Ministry of Justice and Peace, the Ministry decides NO donate the part that corresponds to it in the agreement already prepared to carry out the donation, the land is located near the La Reforma Penitentiary Center.

In this regard, Deputy Barquero stated “The ministry of justice and peace indicated; that he The current perimeter of the renovation does not have the appropriate technical conditions in terms of mesh, height, distance and road, for which does not comply with the contentions of necessary infrastructure to avoid possible evasions and invasions, which is already worrying, but also a few years ago they had donated land to the Municipality of Alajuela in that same sector for a sports center and now after the presentation of the project for the construction of this area of ​​health, they refuse

It is important to clarify that the CCSS is fully willing to carry out the Health Area project in the southern sector of the canton of Alajuela.

This project would benefit more than 109 thousand people, districts such as San Rafael, Guácima and Río Segundo, not to mention the relief it would be for the San Rafael de Alajuela Hospital and would prevent the transfer of prisoners to the San Rafael de Alajuela hospital.
