ABU DHABI: Organizers were honored for making COP28, the global climate summit hosted by the UAE, a success. President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan conferred the Order of Zayed, Order of Union and First Class Order of Zayed 11.
UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan were honored with the Order of Zayed. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler and National Security Advisor of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance and First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the High-Level Committee Overseeing COP 28 Preparations, Salama Bint Hamdan Al Nahyan. Yan Foundation Chairperson Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed, COP28 President and Minister of Industry and Technology, Dr. Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Jabir and Chairman of the Protocol and Strategic Narrative Federal Authority Mohammad Abdullah Al Junaibi were awarded the Order of the Union.
Members of the organizing committee of COP28 were awarded the First Class Order of Zayed 11. The President personally handed over the honors at a ceremony held at the Abu Dhabi Earth Hotel. He also congratulated everyone on the success of Cop 28.
