“This is the moment when the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Prime Minister should start insisting on the creation of a “nuclear bomb” of European Union sanctions,” economist Juris Pūce admitted in TV24’s “Press Club” program
According to him, the “nuclear bomb” sanctions package should be such that no aggressor would think of attacking one of the EU member states. Because, for example, in the case of Ukraine, the sanctions were dragged on for a long time.
This is a decision that no one else can make. This should be done by political persons, Puce explained.
He would like to know the Minister of Foreign Affairs [Krišjāņa Kariņa – red.]who has recently disappeared somewhere, a sharp position on this issue.
