Orrego delivered 57 houses after almost 12 years of waiting.
On Tuesday afternoon Governor Marcelo Orrego participated, together with the mayor Analía Becerra, of the delivery of 57 homes in the San Martín department.
The vice governor of the province, Fabián Martín, also participated in the event; the Minister of Infrastructure, Water and Energy, Fernando Perea; the director of the IPV, Elina Peralta; the president of the Deliberative Council, provincial deputies among other officials.
The Las Moras neighborhood was developed through financial assistance with national and IPV funds. The housing solution for the new owners was completed almost twelve years after the work began on November 1, 2012.
There are 57 homes, of which 48 are from the ACU 657/2011 socio-community program of a 2-bedroom prototype with a covered area of 56.45m2. While 9 were developed through the RECONSTRUIR program and have three bedrooms and an area of 67.42m2.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Water and Energy was in charge of the urbanization of the neighborhood with paved streets, electrical network for public lighting and luminaires, drinking water and sewage network, municipal sidewalks and formed pedestrian crossings, tree planting. public with irrigation and lawn.
Within the framework of the delivery, Mayor Analía Becerra said: “The truth is that it makes me very happy today to be able to confirm that you can receive your key, because you know well that we have been working for a long time to move this neighborhood forward. Tell the families who are going to receive the key that are encouraged to dream, that are encouraged to project a future for their children, that are encouraged to enjoy, be happy, because the only memories that we are going to take with us are these moments, the ones that will remain marked in our hearts”.
In this context, Governor Marcelo Orrego congratulated the new winners and said that “for me it is an honor to be here, to see so many happy faces because it is a dream come true. Today they are structures but later they become a home because there is love, honey, it is ultimately where our children grow up. I want to thank each of the workers because this job is wonderful.”
On the other hand, he added that “we know that we are in difficult times and when this happens we have two opportunities, either we face them together or separately and we are going to face them together. We are here to solve the problems that people have and for me there are three areas that are central to the protection of San Juan families such as health, safety and also education.
