Albert Koch is really looking forward to his “home game” in the Grübentälchen, say the organizers. The well-known blues virtuoso will celebrate his sparkling solos with playful ease, this time accompanied by the guitarist and singer Jochen Günther from Guntersblum, who comes from the areas of oldies and pop music. Günther toured all over Germany with Graham Lewis as Norfolk & Goode, founded the pop/rock duo Pretty Lies Light in autumn 2008 and has accompanied Anna Offen on tour since 2014 with songs from Adele to Norah Jones. Jochen Günther has already appeared with the last two duos on SWR television in the “Sonntagstour” and “Kaffee oder Tee”.
Albert Koch, on the other hand, is not only a celebrity in Kaiserslautern; He plays on a par with the best blues and boogie musicians in Europe and has accompanied stars like Louisiana Red and Pete York at their concerts. He is a lecturer at blues harp workshops and regularly gives concerts in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland.

Songs from his almost inexhaustible repertoire, but also from Jochen Günther’s various programs, will be heard in the Christ Church on March 3rd, including “King Of The Road” and “Mercury Blues”. The concert should be lightened up by little stories about the songs and, according to Günther, during the times when he has to tune his guitar.
The concert on Sunday, March 3rd, in the Protestant Christ Church Kaiserslautern, Am Heiligenhäuschen 11, starts at 5 p.m. During the break, the Christuskirche eV church building association offers snacks and drinks. Admission is free, but a donation for the musicians is requested.
