“Russia’s international goal is to reduce the world’s pro-Ukrainian coalition’s support for our country,” the statement said.
Russia is spreading information on the web to disrupt mobilization in Ukraine, cast doubt on Kyiv’s ability to win and promote ideas that the West is “tired.”
“Russian special services have extensive experience in implementing hybrid wars. They spend no less on information attacks on Ukraine than on conventional war,” the intelligence service said.
Russia has allocated 1.4 billion euros for the disinformation campaign, including 230 million dollars for “anti-Ukrainian sentiments” on the “Telegram” platform.
The Kremlin is also trying to sow distrust of Ukrainian officials and doubts about President Volodymyr Zelensky’s mandate, which expires in May.
“According to the enemy’s plan, the situation in our country will be shaken in the first half of June, and then, benefiting from this situation, Ukraine will be defeated militarily in the east, which is the main idea of their operation,” the intelligence service said.
