An agreement on cooperation and participation of Bulgaria in the organization of the Third International Exhibition between China and Bulgaria in the Chinese city of Ningbo in May 2023 was signed in the Bulgarian capital Sofia.
The cooperation agreement between the Office of the Organizing Committee of the China-CEE Exhibition in the Chinese city of Ningbo and the Executive Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises in Bulgaria was signed by Deputy. Immediately before the signing of the document, a preliminary presentation of the Third China Exhibition of products from Central and Eastern Europe and China took place.
The event was held simultaneously in Sofia and Ningbo, in online and offline format. The presentation was jointly organized by the Office of the China-CEE Organizing Committee, the Commercial Bureau of Ningbo Municipality and the Bulgarian Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises and was a joint initiative of the Chinese Cultural Center in Sofia and the Center for the Promotion of Exhibitions and Cooperation with CEE Countries in Ningbo.
Deputy the executive director of the Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Businesses in Bulgaria Borislav Dimitrachkov and the director of the Trade Bureau of Ningbo Municipality, Zhang Yen, as well as the director of the Center for the Promotion of Exhibitions and Cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe in Ningbo Zhang Yadun congratulated the participants in the event, agreeing that the new look of cooperation between China and CEE will give impetus to the mutual relations between the countries.
In his welcome, the Deputy Director of the Agency, Borislav Dimitrachkov, recalled that since 2014, IANMSP has organized national participation of Bulgarian enterprises in the exhibition in Ningbo. New representatives of the Bulgarian medium and small business are expected to take part next year, from sectors such as cosmetics, perfumery and essential oils, wine, food industry, winemaking, viticulture and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, fresh milk and dairy products. He expressed his confidence that the activities and products presented by the Bulgarian companies will introduce the Chinese business community to the new opportunities for cooperation, technological cooperation and trade. The Bulgarian representative thanked his colleagues from the city of Ningbo for successfully overcoming the challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the good opportunities for holding the Exhibition. “The exhibition will provide more opportunities for Bulgarian enterprises and will promote economic cooperation between China and Bulgaria,” said Borislav Dimitrachkov categorically.
For his part, immediately after signing the Document, the head of the economic and trade delegation from Ningbo, Zhang Wenhu, said: “Wherever our delegation goes, it receives positive responses from relevant institutions, business associations and enterprises in Central and Eastern Europe. We are full of confidence and expectations for participation in the Exhibition next year.”
The director of Ningbo Municipality Trade Bureau, Zhang Yen, reminded again that this year is the anniversary of the China-CEE Cooperation Mechanism. “Over the last 10 years, China has been looking for joint development and opportunities for new forms of sharing with partners from Central and Eastern Europe. Two-way investment is growing steadily and cooperation projects are developing in many areas,” he said, stressing that Ningbo has gradually become the preferred place for trade, investment and cultural exchange between China and CEE countries. The Chinese representative explained that the Third Central and Eastern European Expo, which will be held in Ningbo in May 2023, will present the new look for cooperation with Central and Eastern Europe, which will have a new image, a new mechanism, a new connotation and a new form, making the trip to Ningbo full of opportunities and successful results.
