Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has been urged to apologize after calling a BBC journalist a “good girl” during a post-match interview.
When asked by sports journalist Jane Lewis, Rodgers refused to answer, calling her a “good girl.”
The Scottish Feminist Network and women’s groups in Scotland urged Rodgers to apologize for his “offensive” comments.

Jane Lewis interviewed the Celtic manager for BBC Sportsound on Sunday.
Mrs Lewis asked the Celtic manager, from Carnlough, County Antrim, about the Premier League title race.
“I’ve already written the story about this group,” Rodgers said, “but we’ll write our own story.”
When Lewis asked for “more information” about what he meant, Rodgers replied: “No, no, you know exactly what I mean.”
He concluded by saying: “Well done, good girl, well done,” before walking away.
Jane Lewis, BBC Scotland and Celtic Football Club declined to comment on the matter.
BBC News understands Celtic contacted Ms Lewis but there was no feeling of resentment or abuse.
Campaign group Women in Scotland said it was frustrating that “casual sexism remains entrenched in sport”.
A company spokesperson said: “Women’s achievements are belittled and belittled, and their professional standing is undermined. “Rodgers owes this journalist an apology.”
The Scottish Feminist Network said Jane Lewis was “just doing her job” and trying to get an explanation for a mysterious comment.
A club spokesperson said: “The attitude of the manager of the winning team was condescending, which is so obvious but very frustrating in 2024.
“We thought dinosaurs were extinct.”
And he added: “I think it was a reckless comment and I think it was very arrogant. ‘Good girl’; Whether she was joking or not, I have no idea.
