Dina Ismail, the mother of the girl Habiba, who was subjected to an attempted kidnapping by the Uber driver, said that there was no improvement in her daughter’s health condition.
She added, during a telephone interview with the “Al-Hekaya” program presented by the journalist Amr Adeeb, on the “mbc Egypt” screen, on Monday evening, that there is still bleeding and leakage in the brain, and that her daughter is unconscious.
She explained that her daughter’s blood pressure level is low, and she is getting some medications to raise it, noting that she cannot be transferred for treatment abroad because it is impossible for her to move or travel because that poses a risk to her life.
She noted that medical staff were unable to move her inside the hospital to perform the necessary x-rays, fearing for her life.
She continued: “The doctors told me it was a matter of time and the water on the brain had to dry up.”
Regarding Uber’s communication with the family, she explained that the company contacted her daughter’s cousin to check on her condition, stressing that she was not aware of the existence of an internal investigation into the company.
The Uber driver was accused of trying to harass the girl, Habiba, and kidnapping her on the Suez Road in Cairo, causing her to jump out of the car while it was driving, which led to her being seriously injured and losing consciousness.
