Ammon – Lebanese actor Fadi Ibrahim passed away on Monday morning at the age of 67, after a struggle with illness, leaving behind an artistic career that lasted more than four decades, during which his roles imprinted on the memories of viewers in Lebanon and the Arab world.

A number of his fellow artists confirmed on social media the news of his death after media outlets reported in the past two days about the deterioration of his health condition and his admission to intensive care as a result of his suffering from complications of diabetes.

In recent weeks, Ibrahim’s health has occupied artistic circles and social media networks after his leg was amputated as a result of complications from his diabetes. A wide wave of popular and artistic sympathy arose for him, manifested in a great demand to contribute to a fundraising campaign launched by the Syndicate of Theater, Cinema, Radio and Television Actors in Lebanon to complete his costly treatment. .

Captain Nima Badawi noted in an interview with Agence France-Presse that “the solidarity of the actors was remarkable” with Ibrahim, who starred in dozens of local series. He said that “artists, producers, and television station owners stood by” the actor.

Ibrahim, born in 1956 to a Lebanese father and an Australian mother, was described as one of the most handsome Arab actors, and was nicknamed “The Don Juan of the silver screen.”

Fadi Ibrahim began his television career in the 1980s, when the audience got to know him, especially through his participation in series and advertisements that achieved great popularity.

But the most prominent stop in his career was through the series “The Storm Blows Twice,” which constituted a milestone in Lebanese drama in the mid-nineties and spanned more than 170 episodes. His character, “Nader Sabbagh,” and the duo he formed with actress Rola Hamada as “Jamal Salem” in this work are still firmly established in the minds of viewers. This duality was repeated in the series “Women in the Storm” in the late nineties.

Over the past four decades, Fadi Ibrahim’s credits are full of many acting appearances in joint Lebanese or Arab series, including “All Love, All Love,” “Between Beirut and Dubai,” “The Peasants’ Revolution,” and finally “For Death 2.”

In addition to acting, Fadi Ibrahim worked as a translator for documentaries on the official Lebanese television, and he also practiced the profession of artistic makeup for television works.

Following the spread of the news of Ibrahim’s death, social networks were filled with obituary messages for the late actor, including many messages from celebrities in various fields who praised the late actor, his acting abilities, his personality, and his struggle against the disease.
