Winterthur Police Crack Down on Drunk Drivers Over Weekend – Three Licenses Confiscated

Early on Saturday morning, shortly before 4:30 a.m., a patrol stopped a driver in Winterthur-Seen who was traveling in serpentine lines. During the check it turned out that she was drunk. The 44-year-old Croatian woman had to hand in her driver’s license immediately and leave the car behind.

On Sunday night, the Winterthur city police carried out a general traffic check on Breitestrasse. Shortly before 1 a.m., a 37-year-old Ukrainian man was stopped while drunk. He also had to continue his journey on foot.

Finally, early on Sunday morning, shortly after 5 a.m., a man drove into a candelabra at the Storchenbrücke, which then fell over. The driver, a 32-year-old Swiss, remained uninjured. However, he was also drunk and will be reported accordingly.
