Battery manufacturer Energizer presented a smartphone with a “fat” 28,000 mAh battery: that’s like six and a half iPhone 15 Pro Max. It will go on sale in October 2024 at a price of 249.99 euros (~10,000 UAH).
The downside of autonomy is the size: the thickness of the smartphone is 28 mm (the same as three iPhones), and it weighs almost 600 grams. At the same time, the insides are protected by IP69 certification: this means that the smartphone is completely dust- and waterproof and can even withstand exposure to hot water under high pressure.
Otherwise, in terms of technical characteristics, this is a typical budget Android: it has a 6.78-inch IPS display, a MediaTek MT6789 processor and 8+256 GB of memory. The smartphone does not support 5G networks; it runs Android 14 OS.
Previously, the record for battery capacity was held by the Oukitel WP33 with 22,000 mAh. At the same time, it received a set of rather unique features that the vast majority of devices on the market do not have.
Previously, experts compiled a rating of smartphones with the most durable battery. The leaders in autonomy include both expensive flagships and affordable Android gadgets. But what they all have in common is that they can withstand at least 13 hours of continuous active use.
In turn, UNIAN talked about a function that “kills” the battery and screen of your phone. It appeared on Android devices a long time ago, but on iPhones it debuted relatively recently, so many people don’t even know about it.
