Pankaj Udhas Passed away: Famous ghazal singer Pankaj Udhas (72) passed away. He was under treatment for a long time after falling ill. In 2006, the central government honored him with the Padmasri award. Pankaj Udas was born on 17th May 1951 in Jetpur near Rajkot, Gujarat in a Zamindar family. Pankaj was the youngest of three children of Keshubhai Udas and Jituben Udas. Studied at St. Xavier’s College, Bombay.

Pankaj gained attention by singing the lines of Urdu poets in his unique style. Pankaj Udas gained attention with the hit song “Chitti Aai Hai Vathan” from the 1986 film “Naam”. After this, he released several albums. She has sung with Anoop Jalota in the Malayalam album Ennumee Swaram. Performed in many musical tours and sang in many films.

Chupke Chupke, Un Mere Khatka, Saya Banker, Ashikhon Ne, Khutarat, Tuja Raha Hai Toh, Chu Gayi, Maikhane Se, Ek Taraf Uska Gar, Kya Mujse Dosti Karoge, Maikhane Se, Goongat, Peene Walo Suno, Rishte Toothe, Ansu etc. Even today, ghazal lovers are more of a feeling than a song.
