Criminal law/administrative offense law
Have you received mail from the police, public prosecutor’s office or court? Are you accused of a felony or misdemeanor? Time to act! I am at your side from the preliminary investigation to the main hearing, but also during the criminal enforcement process.
Police law
Have you been stopped and the police wanted to find out your identity? Have you been identified, searched, detained, taken into custody or have you been banned or expelled? Do not hesitate to contact me. I would be happy to assist you as a reliable partner in administrative police proceedings.
My focuses
- Commercial and tax criminal law (e.g. delay in insolvency, money laundering, tax evasion)
- Property criminal law (e.g. fraud, theft)
- Resistance crimes (e.g. resisting law enforcement officers, assaulting law enforcement officers)
- Capital crimes (e.g. murder, manslaughter)
- Narcotics criminal law
- Juvenile Justice
- Execution of sentence (e.g. probation, release on a 2/3 date, half sentence)
- Pretrial detention (e.g. detention review, detention complaint, detention conditions)
my motivation
In probably no other area of law are effects of any kind as noticeable as in criminal law. The mere accusation of a crime can have serious consequences: life paths become or remain closed and plans are thwarted. Efficient criminal defense therefore requires a tailor-made, individual defense strategy at the highest professional level in order to decisively counter allegations and avert the threat of reputational damage.
The challenge of achieving the jointly defined defense goals drives me every day. For me, being a criminal defense lawyer not only means establishing the necessary equality of arms, but also actively standing up for the rights of the accused. Because there is hardly anything more fulfilling than the fight for freedom.
My career
- Employed lawyer for 2 years in Northern Germany’s largest law firm specializing exclusively in criminal law
- 1 1/2 years as a research assistant at the University of Bremen
- Currently working on a doctorate on a topic in the area of hunting criminal law at the University of Bremen
- Second state legal examination (major state legal examination, qualification for judgeship)
- Legal traineeship in the district of the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Bremen
- Former lecturer in criminal law at the University of Bremen
- First state law examination with honors
- University criminal law specialization training in “Criminal Law and Criminal Policy in Europe” at the University of Bremen with honors
- Studied law at the University of Bremen
