Most people have probably been late at least once in their lives. I did it twice. Once it was a perfect perception, and once it was a perception in my mind. Looking back, I feel like kicking the blanket over the head, but since it’s a past story, I’ll try to tell it for fun.
The morning dawned and the sun rose, shining into my eyes. My body feels drowsy on the warm heated mat. I don’t know why, but it feels good. Wait… the sunlight shouldn’t shine? Why is it bright outside? In shock, I jumped up and looked at my phone. It’s 9 o’clock. 9 o’clock? She woke up screaming and woke up her mother. My normal wake-up time is 7 o’clock. It’s not time for the sun to rise. Departure time is 9 o’clock. It’s late.
“mom!!!! I’m late. tardy. “Please take me to the hospital.”
I have a habit of washing up whenever I go out, so I took my towel and clothes and was about to go into the bathroom when my mother’s words stuck in the back of my head.
“You said you were late. Do you have time to shower? “Just go!”
“But my hair is like that…”
“He hasn’t come to his senses yet! “Just go!”
When I came to my senses, I realized that it really wasn’t the time to wash. I quickly got dressed and headed to the hospital. She didn’t know if it was unfortunate or fortunate, but since it was her second day at work and it was a training period, she crouched into the auditorium and sat in the corner. The eyes that people looked at from time to time were both stinging and revealing. But she was thankful that she wasn’t asleep in the corner of the room right now.
After the first training session, I wrote my name in the attendance sheet. After me, my classmate who forgot to write down his name in the morning wrote his name down. After I wrote down my name, the education team leader quietly approached me.
“This teacher came last, but his name isn’t the last?”
“Ah… I couldn’t write down my name earlier.”
My classmate and the education team leader were having a conversation, and those conversations pierced my heart like an arrow. I clutched my heart and looked at the team leader. In my life, the word ‘lateness’ was not in my dictionary, but after joining the company, the thought of being late gave me a headache. Still, nothing major happened and somehow it went over well.
It’s your turn to be late for the second time. To be honest, I wasn’t late, but it was a day that felt like a big tardiness in my heart. It had been about a month since I was assigned to the ward. My duty that day was day work. The start time for work that day was 7 o’clock, but I woke up at 6:25. Normally, when I had to go to work, I would go to work until 6 o’clock and do the youngest’s work, then take the handover and check on the patients. But while I was sleeping, I thought the world was falling apart. I immediately sent a message to the preceptor.
‘I’m sorry, teacher. I’m going to be a little late because I have work to do. I’ll be there as quickly as I can.’
‘It’s okay~ Just come slowly and don’t be late~’
That day, I woke up my mom and arrived at the hospital around 6:50. I was anxious that the handover had begun, but the ward was on the highest floor and the elevator did not come, so I felt sick. Then she ran into Day Burn, a nursing assistant, in the lobby and felt like her stomach was melting.
As soon as I arrived at the ward, I ran to the locker room, took off my clothes, threw them in the locker, changed into my work clothes, and ran out to the station. Fortunately, the handover had not started and the preceptor did all the work for the youngest. As she pulled out the handover, she asked if I was okay.
There will be no preceptor like this in the world. A halo was shining from behind the preceptor, making it look like the sun. While attending the hospital, I think I saw two suns. The sun I saw after waking up late, and the sun seen from people.
