At that time, the original Škoda Octavia began to be produced as a tudor, i.e. a two-door sedan, lower middle class. In 1960, a practical estate car also arrived, which then lasted many years in production. While the Tudor went to rest in 1964, when it was replaced by the Škoda 1000 MB, the station wagon only ended in 1971.
The name Octavia was subsequently abandoned by the Czech car company for decades. It revived it only in its modern era, in 1996 – and successfully, today the Škoda Octavia is the brand’s bestseller, which is currently sold in its fourth generation. By the way, she recently underwent an interesting facelift.
But back to the original “octave”. It was this that became the focus of a remarkable competition between two French motoring websites. The editors of Turbo and Automobile Propre embarked on complex conversions of two old Škoda cars.
We will continue to focus on this interesting project in more detail, today we will present you one of the concepts created as part of the competition. The members of the Turbo editorial team turned to design students to design the shape of their car. And then they chose one of the proposals.
Among the participants of the “audition” was also a student Como Dupont, who took the renovation of the old Octavia really exceptionally well. When creating the design, he went in different directions, but all of them looked extremely distinctive, sporty and aggressive. In one case it is even a convertible.
However, the final concept retains the original Tudor bodywork. But here, in addition to various modifications, the body kit includes muscular sides, several spoilers, large thresholds and other sporty elements. Proper wheels must not be missing.

At the front, small round LED headlights attract attention, among which there is a front mask, which also lights up and resembles the Enyaq electric model in concept. The hood is decorated with a special element that brings the car closer to current Škoda cars.
The rear is very impressive, especially thanks to the solution that lengthens it. It includes new lights connected by an LED bar. And the massive diffuser cannot be overlooked. So what do you say, can you imagine this “tuned” Octavia as a real car?
