– The optimal thing would have been for us to have even more players aged 20-25, but we have many good young players in the squad right now. The most important thing is that the players are in training and that they train every day.
However, Berntsen announces that there is a vision within AIK. It is about rejuvenating the team to an even greater extent, even if there is a problem at the moment.
– In the long term, we want to try to rejuvenate a little more. Then whether the younger players come from Africa or the own academy, I don’t know, says Berntsen and sums up:
– But buying players aged 18-22 costs 20-25 million. We don’t have that money, maybe we will in the future, but right now we don’t have it.
