They announced a nationwide search for 17-year-old Ivana from Dupnitsa, who has been missing for the fourth day. Over 150 policemen, gendarmes and volunteers are involved in the search for her.
The girl was last caught on camera near the city exit. The only trace so far is her jacket found in the area of the E-79 main road, near the tunnel near Dupnitsa. They walk around the outskirts of the city. Both dogs and thermal cameras are used in the campaign.

The girl’s parents are waiting with a heavy heart for some news about their girl. They explain to BNT that she does not go anywhere without a phone.
“She leaves her backpack with the phone and says ‘mum will come to get my luggage later.’ As far as I know, she doesn’t go anywhere without a phone. I don’t know how she left the phone either, she must have been very angry,” says Maria Ivanova, Ivana’s mother.
According to the parents, the girl most likely had a problem at school and this is the likely reason for her disappearance. According to the mother, it tried to contact her, possibly while she was talking to her class teacher.
“Then at the same moment when the class calls, Ivana asks for a phone from some woman in front of the Military Hospital, but my phone says busy. Maybe she wanted to explain to me what happened, but she can’t get through. After that, I called the other woman, but she didn’t answer,” says the mother.
Dozens of volunteers are involved in the search for Ivana.
“The problem is that it’s been a long time already. To on Thursday disappeared, which means that the time is long, the last cameras that saw her was very lightly dressed, without provisions, without anything and it is very dangerous and scary,” says one of the volunteers.
“We are grateful to the people who are looking for our child. Hope they find it! I pray to God, I don’t know where to look, I don’t know,” says Ivana’s father.
In Dupnitsa, it was commented that the missing girl was harassed by her classmates.
The mayor of Dupnitsa, Parvan Dangov, also spoke about the problems at the school, who has also scheduled an inspection of the school from tomorrow.
The search for the 17-year-old girl continues under the supervision of the operational headquarters of the Regional Police Department in Dupnitsa, which coordinates the teams.
