“Oppenheimer” and “The Bear” Triumph at 30th Screen Actors Guild Awards
The 30th Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards took place on Saturday night, honoring the best performances in film and television from the year 2023. Before the ceremony commenced, the Life Achievement Award was presented to the legendary Barbra Streisand. Cillian Murphy, known for his outstanding performances in “Peaky Blinders” and “Inception,” claimed the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer in the eponymous film.
Lily Gladstone, a rising star in the industry, secured the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role for her captivating performance in “Killers of the Flower Moon.” Gladstone’s portrayal left a lasting impression on audiences, showcasing her immense talent and versatility.

In the comedy genre, Jeremy Allen White’s exceptional portrayal in “The Bear” earned him the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. Ayo Edebiri, known for her work as a comedian and writer, won the award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, also for her role in “The Bear.”
