Away team Rögle won the match against Malmö in the SHL. The result in Saturday’s match in Malmö Arena was 3-2 (1-1, 1-0, 1-1).
The first period was even. Malmö Redhawks started best and took the lead through Teemu Kivihalme after 9.36, but Rögle BK equalized through Albin Sundsvik after 15.17. Rögle also made it 1-2 after 11.19 in the second period when Daniel Zaar struck, played forward by Simon Ryfors and Lukas Ekeståhl-Jonsson. Rögle extended the lead through Simon Ryfors after 2.26 in the third period.
However, Kim Rosdahl reduced for Malmö with just a minute left to play and created tension.
This was Malmö’s 15th odd-goal loss this season. It was also Rögle’s twelfth odd-goal victory.
The result means that Malmö remains in twelfth place and Rögle in eleventh place in the table.
On Tuesday 27 February 19.00, Malmö play away to Frölunda, and Rögle at home to HV 71.
