The popular actor Marianne Mörck is putting her shoes on the shelf in 2025, she says in TV4’s Nyhetsmorgon.

– I have told myself that I will stop working next year, because then I will be 76, she says in the box.

She has previously announced that she intends to retire in 2025, and so that is fixed.

– That’s how you should start sleeping. And I have to sort through all my 36,000 Kinder Egg figures, and that takes six months. And two children, throw away music. There’s little to tinker with, says Marianne Mörck.

She has a long career behind her as an actor and singer. She has appeared in several Wallander films, plays and operas. She was also Christmas host in SVT in 2019.

Shared grief

In the program, Marianne Mörck and presenter Jenny Strömstedt also talk about the grief after their pets. Jenny Strömstedt had to kill her 14-year-old cat on Friday. Marianne Mörck herself lost her cat Pysen a month ago due to intestinal cancer.

– There was nothing to do. He wasn’t allowed to go outside, and he was an outdoor cat.

She talks about how she deals with the loss.

– I have him burned in an urn that is a little too big. I have it in bed and then I lie and talk to him.

– It feels good here, says Marianne Mörck and puts her hand to her heart.

– Say hello to Pysen in the urn, says Jenny Strömstedt in conclusion.
